Novel optical techniques for window glass inspection

Abstract

The application of a micro-lens array for optical inspection of large-scale windows is proposed for on-line operation. With a micro-lens array, the planarity of laminated windows can be inspected. Another technique, based on the use of a computer-generated hologram, was studied in order to facilitate the inspection of small-scale deformations in security windows.
