Preparation and Physical Properties of Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) Complexes of Schiff Bases Derived from Chromdne with<u>o</u>-Substituted Anilines

Abstract

Abstract Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes of some new Schiff bases derived from 6-formyl-7-hydroxy-5-methoxy 2-methyl chromone with aniline, 2-aminoplicnol, 2-aminothiophenol and anthranilic acid were prepared and characterized by microchemical ànalyses, infra-red, electronic spectra, molar- conductance, thermogravimetric analysis and magnetic measurements. A distorted octahedral geometry is proposed for all the complexes.
