Tacrolimus-Induced Alopecia in Female Kidney-Pancreas Transplant Recipients

Abstract

Alopecia is a frequent complication in women receiving tacrolimus therapy following SPK transplantation. Its pathogenesis is unknown. This cosmetic complication must be discussed with patients before transplantation to minimize the risk of noncompliance.
