Lignocellulosic Bioethanol: Status and Prospects

Abstract

Abstract This article reviews the current status of fuel ethanol production and discusses the fermentation mechanism and technology being applied to the fuel ethanol fermentation process worldwide. In addition, this review addresses the ethanol fermentation process from lignocelluloses as raw material, such as crop residuals, grass, wood residuals, waste paper, etc.
