Districts and Schools as a Context for Transformed Counseling Roles

Abstract

This article applies three perspectives—structural, cultural, and practical—to examine issues faced by district and school administrators as they attempt to change the position and practice of school counselors to one with a clear focus on improving academic achievement for all students.
