Ultrasonographic measurement of abomasal volume, location, and emptying rate in calves

Abstract

Ultrasonographic evaluation of the abomasum appears to provide a practical, rapid, noninvasive, and accurate method for determination of abomasal volume, location, and emptying rate in suckling calves.
