Acute bleeding may occur from varicose portal-systemic collateral veins that may develop in these adhesions in patients with portal venous hypertension (1-3). The present report describes a unique patient with bleeding from vaginal vault varices. Portalsystemic collateral veins had developed in postoperative adhesions between the mesentery of the distal small intestine and the vaginal vault in association with portal hypertension secondary to Laennec's cirrhosis.CASE REPORTPatient I.
