CuO-doped SnO2 nanocrystalline powders have been obtained with non-alkoxide as starting material in two different ways by sol-gel method. The SnO2 (CuO) samples are characterized by X-ray diffraction, and are analyzed by differential thermal analysis (DTA), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES) to determine the crystalline phase transformation, the average grain size, the lattice constants, and chemical compositions.
