The oxoaporphine alkaloids lysicamine, homomoschatoline, imenine, and splendidine have been isolated from Abutarufescens Aublet (=Abutasplendida Krukoff and Moldenke). Splendidine has been shown to be 1,2,4-trimethoxy-7H-dibenzo[de,g]quinolin-7-one (1) by total synthesis.
