Abstract

Abstract A procedure is described which allows the isolation of ca. 1 g Sinigrin (K‐salt) or glucotropaeolin (tetramethylammonia‐(TMA)‐salt) from seeds of Brassica nigra and Lepidium sativum , respectively within one day as crystalline substances. Both compounds possess excellent long term stabilities. In contrast to sinigrin the TMA salt of glucotropaeolin does not contain water of crystallization.
