Highly enantioselective synthesis: The rhodium(I) complex of the chiral ligand SDP is successfully used as a catalyst for the hydrosilylation/cyclization of 1,6-enynes with silanes. Under the optimized reaction conditions, optically active silylalkenes containing cyclopentane or pyrrolidine rings are obtained in good yields with excellent enantioselectivities (see scheme).
