Abstract The absolute configurations of phenylethylamino derivatives I, II and III with two or three asymmetric centres were determined spectropolarimetrically by comparison with optical rotatory dispersions of related amino‐alcohols and amines and their dithiocarbamates and N ‐nitroso derivatives.
