Calculations on the Auger spectrum of N₂

Abstract

The Auger spectrum of N2 has been calculated by the Green's function method. Strong electron correlation effects have been found to be visible in this spectrum, corresponding to a breakdown of the two-quasi-hole picture for the final states of the Auger processes. Connections with the satellite structure in the photoelectron spectrum of N2 have been established.
