Prognostic relevance of KIT and PDGFRA mutations in gastrointestinal stromal tumors.

Abstract

Our findings indicate that a specific KIT mutation may be associated with unfavorable behavior in GIST. This finding may have implications on selecting patients for adjuvant therapy.
