ABSTRACT By use of an oxygen electrode measurements of oxygen tension have been made in the lumen of the small intestine of the domestic duck in the region occupied by the acanthocephalan parasite, Polymorphus minutus. The tension was found to vary from 25 mm. Hg close to the villi to less than 0·5 mm. Hg in the centre of the lumen.
