By utilizing the energy transfer of Ce<sup>3+</sup> to Mn<sup>2+</sup>, the emitting colors can be adjusted from blue to red in Na<sub>4</sub>Ca<sub>4</sub>Si<sub>6</sub>O<sub>18</sub>:Ce<sup>3+</sup>,Mn<sup>2+</sup> phosphors.
