A case of primary tracheobronchial amyloidosis in a 16-year-old boy is presented. Amyloidosis localized to the tracheobronchial tract has not previously been reported in a younger patient. This entity should be considered in the differential diagnosis of obstructing lesions of the tracheobronchial tree. Bronchoscopy establishes the diagnosis, and removal of the amyloid material with bronchoscopic forceps is usually necessary to establish an adequate airway.
