Epilepsy prevalence and prescribing patterns in England and Wales

Abstract

Epilepsy has been neglected as a focus for health services policy,though there have been attempts to redress this recently. A EuropeanWhite Paper on epilepsy was presented to members of the EuropeanParliament in March 2001. A report to the Department of Health in theUK has highlighted the need for research into the effectiveness andvalue of epilepsy services.
