Abstract

Iron doped barium titanate was grown and reduced at various temperatures. Using optical absorption and electron paramagnetic resonance (photo-EPR) simultaneously, a wide absorption band at ∼2.1 eV due to Fe2+ is established. The light-induced charge transport between Fe2+/3+ and shallow Ti4+/3+−VO is identified, showing a two-center type response at low and one-center type response at room temperature.
