Electronic Structure, Infrared Absorption, and Hall Effect in Tellurium

Abstract

An analysis of the band structure of tellurium is based on the symmetry properties of a drastically simplified model of its crystal structure. These symmetry considerations lead to suggestions of the physical mechanisms underlying a variety of experimental facts in this material.
