Abstract

\n Semantic Business Process Management (SBPM) utilizes semantic\n technologies to achieve more automation throughout the BPM\n lifecycle. An integral part of the SBPM infrastructure is a semantic\n business process repository, which is used for storage and\n management of business process modeling artifacts. As in SBPM\n business process models are based on process ontologies, the\n semantic business process repository has additional requirements\n towards support of reasoning and querying capabilities. In this\n paper, we first describe the functionalities the semantic business\n process repository has to provide. We then introduce a solution\n based on the Integrated Rule Inference System (IRIS) on top of a\n relational database for realizing the storage mechanism and query\n processing. Finally, we present the overall architecture of the\n semantic business process repository.\n
