Query Processing

Query Processing is the systematic procedure within data-intensive systems by which a high-level query expressed in a declarative language is transformed into an efficient execution plan that retrieves or manipulates the requested data, distinguished by its focus on parsing, optimization, and evaluation strategies to satisfy information needs across databases, cloud environments, big data platforms, geographic information systems, and information retrieval systems.
