Abstract

Mice were immunologically paralysed with two protein antigens, and then either thymectomized or sham-operated in adult life. Recovery from paralysis was much impaired by thymectomy, but was not abolished. This result is discussed in relation to the function of the thymus, and to possible mechanisms of recovery from paralysis.
