Smoking and tuberculosis: an association overlooked.

Abstract

Although an association between smoking and tuberculosis appears evident, prospective studies would help to confirm the evidence and to highlight this noxious association. Nevertheless, smoking should be considered as an important risk factor for tuberculosis.
