Written Description Requirement
Written Description Requirement is a substantive requirement of patentability in U.S. patent law that obliges a patent specification to describe the claimed invention in sufficient detail to show that the inventor was in possession of the full scope of what is claimed as of the filing date, thereby confining patent claims to subject matter adequately disclosed in the application.
