Wind-driven Ice Drift

Wind-Driven Ice Drift is a geophysical process within sea ice dynamics wherein the movement of sea ice floes is predominantly governed by atmospheric wind forcing acting on the ice surface, distinguished from other drift mechanisms by its direct dependence on wind stress rather than oceanic currents or thermal gradients.
