Wind-Driven Fire Spread is a fire spread process in which the movement and intensification of wildfire are predominantly governed by strong, sustained wind forces that enhance convective heat transfer, preheat fuels ahead of the flame front, and accelerate fire propagation beyond rates driven by buoyancy or terrain effects alone.
