Wind-driven Current Systems

Wind-Driven Current Systems is a large-scale ocean circulation framework defined by the organized movement of seawater at the ocean surface, driven primarily by the stress exerted by global wind patterns, and distinguished from other circulation systems by its direct dynamical response to wind forcing and the resulting geostrophic and Ekman transport mechanisms.
