Whitecapping Dissipation

Whitecapping Dissipation is a wave energy dissipation mechanism in ocean surface wave modeling that specifically accounts for the nonlinear breaking of waves in deep water, distinguished from other dissipation processes by its dependence on wave steepness and its role in transferring energy from the wave field to turbulent and thermal components.
