Wellbore Corrosion

Wellbore Corrosion is a form of localized degradation of materials in oil and gas production systems, specifically characterized by the electrochemical or chemical attack on metallic well components within the wellbore environment, distinguished from other corrosion types by its occurrence in high-pressure, high-temperature, and often sour (H₂S-containing) downhole conditions.
