Wavefront Shaping

Wavefront shaping is a research area and methodological approach focused on the precise manipulation of the spatial and/or temporal properties of a propagating wave. It investigates techniques, often employing adaptive optics or spatial light modulators, to control wave phase and amplitude, particularly for directing waves through or within complex, scattering media, achieving targeted focusing, or generating specific field distributions, thereby enabling advancements in fields such as imaging, telecommunications, and fundamental wave physics.
