Wave-pattern Resistance
Wave-Pattern Resistance is a hydrodynamic resistance component arising from the energy expended in generating a ship's characteristic wave system, distinguished from other forms of wave-making resistance by its dependence on the specific spatial distribution and interference pattern of the divergent and transverse waves produced by the vessel's hull form and speed.
