Wave-induced Set-up

Wave-Induced Set-Up is the elevation of mean water level in the nearshore zone resulting from the onshore flux of wave momentum, distinguished from other components of water level variation by its direct dependence on the spatial decay of wave height due to breaking and energy dissipation in the surf zone.
