Wave-body Interaction

Wave-Body Interaction is a hydrodynamic phenomenon in which the motion and pressure fields of surface waves are modified by the presence and response of a floating or submerged marine structure, distinguished by the coupling between wave kinematics and body dynamics that govern energy exchange, diffraction, and radiation effects in marine environments.
