Water Source Apportionment

Water Source Apportionment is an analytical framework in isotope hydrology that quantifies the proportional contributions of distinct hydrological source components (such as precipitation, soil water, and groundwater) to a mixed water sample or flux, typically by applying tracer- or isotope-based mixing models subject to mass-balance constraints.
