Visual Stereotyping is a representational phenomenon in travel photography whereby certain cultures, places, or peoples are systematically depicted through reductive, generalized, and often exoticized visual tropes that reinforce dominant Western ideological narratives, thereby distinguishing it from more nuanced or contextually grounded forms of visual documentation.
