View-dependent Appearance Modeling

View-Dependent Appearance Modeling is an image-based rendering technique that captures and synthesizes the variation in an object's visual appearance as a function of the viewer's position, thereby distinguishing itself from view-independent models by explicitly accounting for perspective-related changes in lighting, occlusion, and surface visibility.
