Variable Radius Plot Sampling

Variable Radius Plot Sampling is a forest inventory method in which sample plots are defined by a variable area determined by the basal area of trees, using an angle gauge or prism to selectively include trees based on their diameter and distance from the plot center, thereby enabling efficient and probabilistic estimation of stand-level forest attributes.
