Use Of Z

Use of Z is a linguistic convention within Spanish orthography that designates the employment of the letter *z* to represent the voiceless dental fricative phoneme /θ/ in word-initial and inter-vocalic positions, distinguishing it from other graphemic representations of the same phoneme such as *c* before *e* or *i*.
