Usage Control is a security enforcement mechanism that extends access control by integrating authorization, administration, accountability, and trust into a unified framework to govern the usage of personal data in accordance with specified policies, thereby enabling dynamic, context-aware, and persistent control over how, when, and by whom data may be accessed and utilized.
