Uhp Metamorphism

UHP Metamorphism is a type of metamorphic process characterized by mineralogical transformations occurring at pressures exceeding 2.5–3.0 GPa, typically associated with subduction of continental crust to mantle depths, distinguishing it from other metamorphic facies by the preservation of high-pressure index minerals such as coesite or diamond.
