Typological Imagery

Typological Imagery is a genre of visual representation in manuscript iconography that depicts symbolic correspondences between events, figures, or narratives in the Old and New Testaments, whereby the Old Testament prefigures and is interpreted as prophetically fulfilled by the New, serving as a theological framework for interpreting sacred history through typology.
