Tympanic Membrane Coupling
Tympanic Membrane Coupling is a biomechanical mechanism in auditory physiology that mediates the transmission of airborne sound waves from the external ear canal to the ossicular chain through the vibrational response of the tympanic membrane, thereby enabling efficient impedance matching between air and the fluid-filled inner ear.
