Two-photon Selection Rules

Two-Photon Selection Rules is a theoretical construct in quantum spectroscopy that specifies the allowed electronic transitions in atomic and molecular systems under two-photon absorption, differing from one-photon selection rules by permitting transitions with a net change in angular momentum of zero or two units due to the simultaneous absorption of two photons.
