Two-photon Cooling

Two-Photon Cooling is a laser cooling technique that achieves sub-Doppler temperature reduction in neutral atoms by exploiting the momentum transfer from the simultaneous absorption of two photons whose frequency difference is tuned to a specific atomic transition, thereby enabling cooling below the limits imposed by single-photon recoil processes.
