Turbulence Parameterization

Turbulence Parameterization is a modeling framework within atmospheric dispersion modeling that represents subgrid-scale turbulent fluxes of momentum, heat, and mass through empirical or theoretical relationships, distinguishing it from explicit turbulence simulation by relying on simplified prognostic or diagnostic equations calibrated to observed or resolved flow characteristics.
