Trough Cross-stratification

Trough Cross-Stratification is a type of sedimentary structure characterized by curved, scoop-shaped laminae that truncate and overlap one another in three dimensions, distinguished from planar cross-stratification by its concave, erosional lower boundaries and variable azimuth of foreset dips, typically formed by migrating bedforms in unidirectional or oscillatory flows.
