Transient Eddy Forcing is a dynamical process in atmospheric and oceanic fluid dynamics wherein the convergence of momentum and heat by time-varying eddies exerts a forcing on the mean flow, distinct from steady or radiative forcings, thereby modulating the growth and evolution of baroclinic instabilities.
