Transform Fault Motion

Transform Fault Motion is a type of plate boundary interaction characterized by the lateral, shear displacement of tectonic plates along strike-slip faults that offset segments of mid-ocean ridges or other plate margins, distinguishing it from divergent and convergent plate motions by the absence of crustal creation or destruction at the fault line.
