Trailing-edge Noise

Trailing-Edge Noise is a type of aerodynamic noise generated by the unsteady pressure fluctuations on the surface of an airfoil that are scattered and transformed into acoustic waves at the trailing edge, distinguishing it from other aeroacoustic sources by its origin in boundary layer turbulence interacting with the edge geometry.
